Dear I-Ching Experts,

I make a divination but could not understand the meaning that it is trying to tell me.
Hope to get some advices & learn from it.

6th Throw: 2 Tail 1 Head..........Yang Line
5th Throw: 3 Tail..................... Yin Line (Change to Yang)
4th Throw: 2 Tail 1 Head........... Yang Line
3rd Throw: 2 Tail 1 Head...........Yang Line
2nd Throw: 1 Tail 2 Head........... Yin Line
1st Throw: 1 Tail 2 Head............ Yin Line

My question is about money profit in the next 12 months, if I invest more money & effort.

I know the answer.
When I read the Lu Hexagram story (watever you called it), I was very confused.
Afterall, it's been almost 9yr since I use I-Ching.

After using another method of interpreting, I get the answer.
This called for a wait and see situation.

Any comments?

Dear Willy,

1. The first SIX, divided, shows the stranger mean and meanly occupied. It is thus that he brings on himself (further) calamity.

2. The second SIX, divided, shows the stranger, occupying his lodging-house, carrying with him his means of livelihood, and provided with good and trusty servants.

3. The third NINE, undivided, shows the stranger, burning his lodging-house, and having lost his servants. However firm and correct he (try to) be, he will be in peril.

4. The fourth NINE, undivided, shows the traveller in a resting-place, having (also) the means of livelihood and the axe, (but still saying), 'I am not at ease in my mind.'

5. The fifth SIX, divided, shows its subject shooting a pheasant. He will lose his arrow, but in the end he will obtain praise and a (high) charge.

6. The sixth NINE, undivided, suggests the idea of a bird burning its nest. The stranger, (thus represented), first laughs and then cries out. He has lost his ox(-like docility) too readily and easily. There will be evil.

The above is what mention about the hexagram.

Yes, you had post the correct hexagram?
Is there a I-Ching software available or what?

Pls tell me more about the situation, esp profit/money part.

Dear Willy,

Yes, based on 12 month period, what is the money profit if I invest more money.
But, let rule out the economy part.
Just based on this divination.

My friend told me that it is better to wait till after the 6th lunar month.

I interpret as this....
As I assigned an element to each line, the result is same as yours.
Since this divination was done on today morning, the season is spring.
世, in this case is 土, is weak but with some support from growing 火.
Looking at the active line, 土 change to 金.
This denote the loss of support but draining you instead.
This 土 may be refer to competition, staff, ....

For the money part, I look at 应, in this case is 金.
Since it change to 火, it is destroying it.
This denote losing wealth.

Pls tell me what do you think?
Or I did missed out certain important point?
There is nothing to be gain, am I right?

Hi Renxu,

A few quick comments on this chart:-

Body Gua is Gen.  In the original Trigram, Fire grows earth Gen.  There is support although body is not strong because we are now in spring.  In the changed trigram, Earth grows Qian metal.  Qian also represents money, that means that this trigram suggest you can make money.  However, the likelihood is you cannot make a lot of money since the Body Gua is moderately weak, although one could argue that spring grows fire, and with fire in the original trigram, the wood may instead support earth.  The end result to me, suggests profit may look good but is still not emphatic. 

The 6th lunar month you are referring to is Wei month or Shen month?  Due to the slight difference in Hsia calendar and Lunar calendar, I prefer to be more precise.

This is a 6 合gua which shows your inclination towards money making.It is quite auspious for wealth although it is weak in season and there is a problem of you holding on to the money you can make.

Consider your place as center.
Do not invest in the south in the 5th lunar month. It is dangerous.
Do not invest in the north in the 6th lunar month , It is dangerous.
It is better that you do more observations until the end of the 6th lunar month, before you decide.
It is only 60% favourable.There are many hidden risks and obstacles, although you are capable to solve,it will drain away much of your energy.
Try to be in the centre until the end of the 6th lunar month.

As 2009 had two 5th Lunar Month, I take it that he refer to 6th Lunar Month.
That is 19/Aug'2009, the next day will be 七月初一。
In this case, the season month is 壬申。

One thing that I dun understand, since money is the object which I am refer to, shouldn't money refer to 应 (Line # 1)
With the changing line # 5, from Aspiration to Money.
Do this mean the output will materialize money but will weaken me in the process?

Scale: A bit tough to explain, consider as a expansion that required usd 100K

Offspring or aspiration represents your product which you are holding (世)　and combine with the you酉 wealth star. There is money to be make as the wealth star is been supported by the moving yao未. Offspring also indicate that your company has the neccessary skills to do the job.

However, in the current month, the profit will not be high due to a lack in seasonal support. There might also be a lack of help from higher authority such as the government. Competition is represented by 兄 in the outer gua (I assumed you do not have a partner) and I expect competition to heat up in the coming months. Without 官鬼 appearing, you should be careful about making  heavy investment into a single project.
