Where do you learn that wrong concept about qi? This mistaken concept is not in the ancient texts. Even others who believe that the Bagua should not change would not agree with you. You have a long way to go, especially as you may not have read the ancient Feng Shui texts.

The ancient texts do not say that Heaven and Earth are produced by qi, but that it is Heaven which produces the qi. Earth does not come from qi, as qi from Heaven has to follow the shape of Earth’s terrain, mountains and rivers. Qi does not produce the weather, but the weather modifies the qi, as this is what is meant in the great Feng Shui maxim that "the wind disperses qi and water nurtures the qi." Most important in our discussions, the tilt of Earth is not caused by qi, but this tilt will modify qi, causing different seasonal manifestations of qi in the Northern and Southern Hemipheres, the poles, and, in your case, the equator.

Sorry you could not appreciate the scientific evidence for Feng Shui. You asked some questions and I thought I could clear up your confusion. Hope you will wake up later.

Let us not forget that weather conditions and everything else on earth emerge from chi. Yin and yang chi produces weather conditions...weather does not produce chi. It is the chi that determines the pattern and sets the conditions in motion, and does so for every part of the earth. It is only then that weather reacts in the way it does according to the cycles that chi has produced. It is not unreasonable to conclude that if chi is the PRODUCER, then it must also be the AFFECTOR. And this affect, again, is universal and all-encompassing rather than biased to certain locales.

Weather conditions do not determine the energy values for astrology, divination, etc. That job is reserved for chi. The motions of the celestial movements/rotations set the standards, so to speak. For instance, in 9 Ki the daily energy cycles move in forward motion from appx. Dec.21 through June 21, and then in reverse order from appx. June 21 through Dec.21. This occurs because of chi influence and the earth's position in relation to the sun at certain parts of the year. It has nothing to do with weather conditions. The earth's position relative to the sun includes both the north and south hemisphere and therefore, both hemispheres receive the same chi influence because they are rotating together as a whole. It does not matter what the weather conditions are in Dec. or June, the chi will shift because of universal factors...NOT local ones.

There is so much more to be said about this but we can leave that for future discussion. There is much written on the net and other outlets concerning this subject and it can get extremely confusing when different thoughts are considered. If you are of the belief that the north and south hemispheres warrant different chi values, then by all means continue on your path. I would suggest everyone do their own studies and research and develop their own conclusions. I would also suggest that one keep in mind that it is chi (which branches from Tao), and not weather or other conditions that is the producer and determining factor of all things existing in the northern and southern hemisphere. When the earth is looked at as a whole, the n/s hemisphere issue begins to become more clear.
