Here is my personal view: 40% - practical training 30%-theory (reading up on concepts and understanding the methology adopted by various practioners) 20%- fundamentals (alot of memory work I know!) 10%-chart plotting (this can be carry out in conjunction with the practical part) Any views?  |

This model is fairly close to what I do as well although I think it may greatly differ for some practitioners.
2 common variations from is on chart plotting and theory. For example, some spend a lot of time in chart plotting citing the need to understand the intricacies of chart plotting. While I agree a practitioner must learn chart plotting, let's just say great mathematicians and scientist also use calculator. Although he knows how to verify if the calculator had the mechanical accuracy, he need not spend so much time doing manual calculation for every case he is doing.
The other variation is quite often seen in people like to quote theory from A,B,C till Z school. In varsity, a professor is good in theories and thesis but not usually demonstrate a great ability to suggest practical solutions.

I spent more than 4 hours a day and more than 20 charts a month. But I will repeat the same chart again and again. Everytime will find something new from the same chart.

Same here, I don't get bored looking at the same bazi charts over and over again. In fact, everytime i see the chart, i think of something new... except tat i don't spend as much time as you a day. hehe~ |
