Hi,
I plan to move in to my new house in the next 2-3 months.
Question 1: People say it is inauspicious to move in in the 7th month because it is the hungry ghost month. Could you comment on this?
I was told to follow the few easy steps below to find the most suitable date. Could you comment on it?
Step 1: Strike out the year breaker and month breakers. They are inauspicious Year breakers are days with branches that clashes with the branch of the year. 2009 is a Chou year. So, all Wei days are year breakers. Month breakers are days with branches that clashes with the month. For 8th month, which is You, the month breakers are the Mao days. For 9th month, which is a Xu, the month breakers are all the Chen days.
Step 2: Strike out the personal clash days. All days with branches that clashes with the branches of my family members' years of birth are personal clash days. My wife and I were born in the Dig Year (Xu) and my children were born in Years of Pig, Rabbit and Monkey. So, our personal clash days are Chen, Si, You and Yin.
Step 3: Strike out the 4 Departure and Extinct Days. The day before the start of each season is an extinct day. Question: Are the start of seasons called "Li Chun", "Li Xia", "LI Qiu" and "Li Dong"? The day before the start of the mid point of each season is called the departure day. Question: Are the mid points of the seasons called "Chun Fen", "Xia Zhi", Qiu Fen and Dong Zhi?
Step 4: Identify the 12 Officers from the remaining dates The 12 officers are Establish, Divest, Full, Balance, Stable, Initiate, Destruction, Danger, Success, Receive, Open and Close (a cycle of 12 days that repeats). Establish Day is the day with a branch the matches the branch of the month. The cycle of 12 days begins with the Establish Day identified. Success Day is the best day for most activities including moving in to a new house.
Question: If Yin Day is the Establish Day for the 1st lunar month, what about the 8th lunar month? Is it still Yin Day or You Day?
What about the time?
THanks.
