I was watching the Asian Cup Table Tennis semi finals between Singapore's Gao Ning vs China's Ma Lin.  I noticed that Ma Lin had pointed eyebrows and quickly commmented that Ma Lin will win the tie for sure.  On top on this, Ma LIn have very spirited eyes.  Pointed eyebrow is what we called in Ba Zi, Hurting Officer (Shang Guan) eyebrow.  As we all know from Ba Zi theories, Hurting Officer denotes strong physical or creative performance.  Someone with strong Hurting Officer energy in them will always be goods sportsman.

Spirited eyes illustrates the determination of the person.

My brother then innocently ask me if a sportsman plucks his eyebrow to be pointed will it have the same effect.  There is a saying in Face Reading that "Appearance Grows from the heart".  Improvements consistent with Chinese Face Reading theories will definitely improve one's luck.  But can everyone of us hope to become the Ma Lins in table tennis, Zidanes in soccer or Michael Jordans in basketball simply by cosmetic surgery, eye brow plucking etc?

Firstly, there is a limit to how much we can change our looks through artificial means.  Secondly, your maximum potential is partly fixed by mother nature in the form of your birth chart.  Face reading is an attempt to use nature to complement nature only but it can never be stronger than nature.  Lastly, how outstanding our achievement is also very much dependent on the choices we made.  Had Zidane choose to go into table tennis and Ma Lin choose to venture into playing soccer, would they made it to the top of their leagues respectively?

Ken,

When you mentioned pointed eyebrows, do you means eyebrows that are pointing upwards?

Hi firehorselord,

I was taught and trained with a different interpretation.  Qi sha is a different type of talent from Shang Guan.  Qi Sha is more influential and respectable type of talent.
