May I know from 8 character, how do I determine if the person belongs to which element? Pls enlighten.

Hi The One,

8 Character, ie Bazi uses 4 Pillars to represent the Year, Month, Day, Time of birth.  Each 4 Pillar is further subdivided into Heavenly Stem & Earthly Branch.  That's why there are altogether 8 characters to represent the birthdate.

The Heavenly Stem of the Day of Birth represents your element.
