No Marriage on Tiger Year

Anyone heard of no marriage for the year of TIGER? I heard from several people that TIGER year is not a good year for marriage. Please comment

Hi all,

I am kind of surprised at the interest in the truth or myth of the Tiger.

The truth in it is that our Metaphysics forefather had selected Tiger as the representation of Yin earthly branch for good reason, much like the rest of the 11 representations as well.  Tiger is one of the 4 Courier Horse and mobility is one for which the Tiger typifies although it is clearly much more ferocious than the Snake, Monkey and Pig.  In metaphysics perspective, the Tiger is the Growth of Fire and Prosperity of Wood.  Anger and ferociousness are typify by fire and wood. 

So does it mean that people born in Tiger Year are fiercer and events taking place in Tiger Year are likely to have a fierce outcome?  Metaphysics is a non-main stream type of statistical methods.  Statistically, at least base on my data collection, it does seem that people born in the Tiger year does have a higher % of being fierce or impatient.  Economic data also seems to suggest Tiger Years have a slightly higher likelihood of being negative.

But the myth part of it is we still need to look at the entire birth chart of the persons involved as well as consider the year holistically consisting of its Heavenly Stem and relative month and day of the event itself in order to come to the conclusion whether is negative.  There are still people making their pile of wealth in Tiger year and still enough couples get married in Tiger year and had a lasting marriage.

Remoteviewer is also right in a way.  If you realize, courier horses (Tiger, Snake, Monkey and Pig) have more problematic combinations than others.  Take for instance, the 6 Combinations 六合.  The storage and cardinals have normal combinations, eg Zi+Chou,Mao+Xu etc.  The horses combine among themselves Yin+Hai, Shen+Si.  And yet these pairs are involved in punishments.

Most of the general forecasting report will tell that Tiger and Snake is a clash but if you are practising BaZi you will know that year of birth clashing is not that important or severe. Clashes in spouse palace is one of the criteria that we need to concern. Of course, many other effects that can cause marriage problem.

Hi Slkever, that 's an interesting thought. There are views that couples come together due to karmic actions but regarding tiger n snake, there are many couples, parents who have companions and children born under year of tiger, snake, monkey but they are still doing fine. Its more than just the year fate when we analyse the charts.

In BaZi, these 2 earthly branch interaction/relationship is known as "Harm" & "Half Ungrateful Punishment" (sorry typo at my earlier post *bullying = ungrateful)

Tiger is not 'clash' with Snake. Tiger is 'clash' with Monkey.

If you would like to know the "harm" and "ungrateful punishment" just because of your chart has a Snake and your spouse has a Tiger, this is not the right way of decoding BaZi. The interaction of the elements is read based on ones BaZi instead of comparing both BaZi.

For example, if your BaZi itself consists of Tiger and Snake at the same time, then there is "Harm". Hence, we don't compare chart A to B for the elements interaction this way. We see other things like Useful God, Luck Pillar, etc - I know that I am creating more doubts to you Sorry, can't explain much to you here as BaZi is not a one-day course.
