 Dear All,

I have always reminded myself as hobbyist of this art. And I can't help but ponder about destiny and from my understanding so far of my destiny, there are more questions that arise to the surface than being answered. Thus, With great humility I would like to express my view of destiny as well as asking questions about destiny.

From my understanding...Destiny is the pre-determined course...perhaps "label" of our life. However, the art of astrology has given us hope that we can alter and change our destiny.

However, I am not trying to sound cynical in this post, thus, this questions asked and the findings are based of my own experiences.

 "Can we really change destiny"?

That is the ultimate question for me.

Say, when we were told from our Bazi, ZWDS, and Date selection method that we were to experience accident tommorow and are advised to not to travel outside home. And so we do, However, due to the nature of fate, we slip on the wet floors of the bathroom and we had broken legs. Isn't it that we actually fulfill the fate?

 "are we stronger than destiny?".

I can't help but look at the film literature that have touched on this topic. To have self determination is totally commendable and is a model for every human being in the world. The film literatures that have touched on destiny that I remember was "Final Destination series" and "Time Machine".

I remember in the movie "Time Machine", the main hero tried to save his beloved from death by going to the past multiple times and he said the most touching quote in that movie, "I went back 50 times to save her and watched her die in 50 different ways". I was paraphrasing, of course as I don't remember what he said exactly, but I remembered the message was like that.

Now, I have been advised that this year was going to be difficult for me and I should keep low. And believe me, I've tried. I have tried to think positive to the point, I went insane. I kept a low profile only to hurt me. In a way, I thought If I didn't keep low profile, I would feel bad, yet when I kept a low profile I would feel bad too. It has been difficult. Yet, I accept it. It seemed like this year I would be destined to be making mistakes no matter what I do. It seemed like it would be hard for me and by trying to think positive made me even more down. Yet, I was able to be positive once in a while. Yet, the effort was hard to paint a beautiful big picture.

Some people has mentioned, if there is good timing and you don't do anything about it, then you will waste it.

In  a way, I agreed to it. But, then again....How could anyone not do anything when good timing comes?

For example, Bill Gates, Tiger Woods, and many other people we have looked at their Bazi may not know there is a so called thing "Bazi". Yet, they do exactly what their Bazi said it. It seemed like, they are following their destiny acordingly to their Bazi.

In short, They don't betray their Bazi.

Thus, when we are having bad luck period......can we betray the bad luck period of Bazi? can we make it good?

When someone has self punishment chart in their Bazi...Can they betray and eliminate their self punishment completely?

To be truthful, Judging from case studies and looking at Bazi articles, I have never seen or met anyone who could "betray" their Bazi code.

Bill Gates is wealthy because his Bazi does tell him so.

Tiger Woods is going though "love scandal" because his Bazi tells him so.

I've tried to minimize impact this year and believe me, it is extremely difficult if not downright, impossible.

Let's look at Leslie Cheung...He commited suicide and yet the date and his timing and his Bazi actually denotes of "Commit suicide". It was as if, he fulfilled the Bazi chart he has got, I mean May he Rest in peace, I was saying example.

It was like, I haven't heard of anyone with good Bazi and on good day commited suicide. No one chose to be in bad mood unless there is reasons for it.

We can think positive and embrace with what we have to minimize the impact....But, yet...What if our destiny denotes that the particular timing is going to be extremely hard and when we think positive it was both hard and felt like "lying to ourselves"?.

I think, to challenge destiny itself is very hard if not downright impossible.

Anyway, I wanna hear your opinions before going further. Thank you.

 Magically,

 The ever elusive Mystery

Hi Mystery,

Refer to these 2 posts for my opinion of changing destiny

We must be careful and specific about what qualifies as a change in our eyes because change can carry different meaning to different people.  If a person makes a monthly income of $1k now, and is able to improve to $1.5k, to some it constitutes a change, to others it does not constitute a change.

For me it does not matter which defintion of "change in destiny" we adopt.  We must use this knowledge to strategize our moves, plan for our future and ride at the crests of destiny (instead of the trough) and the process will be much better even if the outcome is the same.

In addition, some take the view that change means a change in outcome, eg from losing a soccer game to becoming the winner while others view a change in the proceedings as the definition of change, eg from losing a soccer game by 3 goals to losing only by 1 goal.  More people take the former view as the definition of change.

I am of the opinion that changing an outcome or the substance of the outcome as not achievable easily.  For instance, charts with bad potential in marriages usually see to the person having a divorce or a lukewarm marital relationship.  In my opinion, you cannot use Fengshui or Astrology to completely remove the negative energies of the lukewarm marital relationship (ie no change in substance, is this view as inability to change destiny?).  You can perhaps avoid divorce (is this change of outcome viewed as change of destiny?)

Thru counselling and mental conditioning, say this couple realizes their marriage luck is bad, they take it positively, and avoids a proactive and loving stance towards their partner such that the process of the marital relationship becomes less painful and more enjoyable.  Does this qualifies as a change in destiny again?

For me, it is simple.  Changing the substance is impossible.  Changing the outcome is half impossible.  Changing the process is definitely possible.

 Dear master Ken,

I am not really a person who thinks of outcome, really.

As matter of fact, I can say that I believe in "Power of Presence" and be completely unattached to the outcome.

However, there is one catch that we are fully confidence of ourselves and completely at ease.

Now, maybe this one is cynical, and I certainly do not enjoy one bit to put environment at responsibility.

After all, there have been many cases when men and women can survive under harsh environment.

However, again it is a paradox. We should not attached ourselves to the outcome, yet having outcome in mind is great, thus, the "intent" can be planned properly. I hope I am making senses here.

Now, we have seen and heard people who were in great success who were all "positive" and "mighty" and yet, when the bad luck period comes, they despaired, and believe me.....to change the perspective, to become more positive, to become lighthearted is extremely difficult.

Mozart went through major depression. Jim Carrey was on Prozac for years, Britney Spears got crazy, Harrison Ford got depressed, Kurt Cobain Commited suicide, I got depressed...

I've heard that when we are going through bad luck period, the majority of our decisions are bad and cause more heartaches.

Thus, All I can guess is that change of behaviour can be instigated with the presence of hope. For example when giving reading to a client hypothetically and I am putting extreme example to make it easier to be understood,

"You will make a lot of people angry, noone will understand what you are doing and people will despise you as you are manipulative and ruthless and you will be a mob boss. However, you have loyal wife and loving children and family who will stick up to you although the law will always try to strike her justice to you. But, you will be wealthy although people will hate you for it".

I am not sure this is a good example, probably it is as I am a bit tired now. Tongue. However, I feel that "Hope" never die and "hope" should always be reminded to people with detailed explanations from metaphysics study....

In my case..."You will be an ar**h**le of the year this year. You will hate many people as you are so stubborn due to this AP stars.....You will be sad and depressed. However, You will have lots of time to watch DVDs and play video games to relax because the next year will be extremely busy for you and yeah, you will be well liked by people next year and it seemed your personality will be better too...".

 What do you think?
