"Broken palm" 斷掌

Hi guys, sorry for reviving an old thread here. I understand that this has already been previously discussed on at "http://fengshuiforward.com/forum/index.php/topic,368.0.html".

But I am still a bit curious with "Broken palm" 斷掌 as I am also under this family(have it in both hands). I understand that people with 斷掌 should have good career prospects but there are also other things I have found out with my research on the internet.

There are some things that i want to confirm. Is it true that people with "Broken palm" 斷掌 will have the following characteristics?

1. Strong personality; have a lot of determination and persistence, high confidence, independent
2. Bad-tempered
3. Hard life (命硬)
4. Will harm the family and have lesser affinity with family (刑克家人)
5. Marriage have to be late as have tendency to remarry and divorce
6. Better business sense
7. People with broken palm on left hand holds military power (掌兵符), thus suitable to be in military
8. People with broken palm on right hand holds wealth (掌财库), thus suitable to be in business/wealth management
9. Generally have better business sense

Able to offer me a few pointers on this? Many thanks in advance!  (Will also be of help to those looking for the answers out there )

I am not an expert in this field but base on research and correlation of real life cases, I think:

1) True
2) Could be true but strong personality usually comes with bad tempter to.
3) Strong personality makes one take the challenging route so it makes sense
4) Does not seem to be so especially for guys
5) Does nto seem so
6) Possible.
7) ,8) not enough samples to be verifiable.  But could be true if we look at the difference of left and right hand as inherited vs created luck.

Thanks for the help!  Very helpful. These questions have always been on my mind.

Another few questions if you don't mind answering. 

1) People with "broken palm" will go through tremendous ups and downs in their life? 
2) Any link/connection between "broken palm" and the wealth of the person? (Coming from someone with Body palace at Wealth palace.. haha) 

Further on..

Does inherited luck means xian tian and created luck means hou tian?

Or does xian tian means destiny and hou tian means outcome? Meaning we cannot change what we are destined to go through but we can change the outcome of our destiny? A bit confused with the terms and what they mean.

1) I believe likely but not definite.  It is possible to just experience up without that much of a down.  Most important is how the individual takes charge of himself and make the right decisions.

2) Haha, the link is not direct but I believe there is.  Wealth is highly dependent on the career of a person and so far the career of a person with broken palm should be relatively good

Yes you are right about the Chinese name of 先天 being Inherited Luck and 后天 being Created Luck.  On the second part, not correct though.  The former represents nature and the latter represents nurture.  Nature is what God and your parents gave you in terms of physical attributes, DNA and luck potential.  Nurture is what yourself and the environment around you after you are born shaped you.

Nurture is one way of altering one's potentials and outcomes.

If you don't mind me asking further  , so 先天=Inherited Luck=Nature and 后天=Created Luck=Nurture? And finally, Destiny is 先天(Inherited Luck)?

Destiny = 命运

命 = what I call 先天
运 = what i call 后天

The 后天 element is pretty dynamic in that the composition can be vary between percentages of nature vs nurture.  For person A, nature may determine 80% of his outcome while for person B, nurture may determine 80% of his outcome.

Destiny = ∑先天,后天
Considering that 命 is 100% 先天 and 运 has varying percentage of 先天 & 后天, naturally Destiny命运 has larger effect from nature.  命 is thus the proxy for 先天 and which is why our predecessors rank 命 as numero uno and 运 as 2nd in the rank.

I've been reading about duan zhang as well, because same as you, i too have it on both palms and i'm female.
On the internet, this floats around as ke fu ke mu, and also ke husband if female.

I'm curious as how this affects me in my life, or whether it did affect my parents and my current relationship life. (People have said "oh how unfortunate you are female! Would have been wonderful if you are male!"  )

Don't really know how true are these at this day and modern society, where females are able to be strong-charactered and have their own careers as well. Somehow I've thought they might apply in the olden days, because women were not well-liked to be strong.

Read some articles online, that the percentage/probability of duan zhang appearing on down syndrome people is higher.
Yet again, there are high-career flyers such as MM Lee with duan zhang as well.

I've also read that usually duan zhang is hereditary, that means it could come from either parent. I've checked some of my family members palms, some of them do have duan zhang but only on 1 hand. Again, internet stuffs say that duan zhang on 1 hand is more difficult to manage as compared to both hands, because when it appears on both hands, there is some sort of 'balance' brought about to the character.
