Linkage between Ba Zi and I Ching

Do you know that there is a system which links the Ba Zi with Chinese Book of Changes (I Ching)? The name of the system is Heluo Lishu (Ho Map Lo Map Rational Number).

Using this system you can calculate two natal I Ching hexagram according to your Pillars.

Hi Oleg,

Perhaps you can write a bit more about this method?  It is hard to decide if this is the method we already know or practises simply by looking at the cover of this book.

By the way, if you do not write much about the method but instead post a url, it looks very much there is intent to promote or advertise the book more than intent to discuss about the method.  I am giving you the benefit of the doubt here without deleting the url.  Perhaps you can focus more about discussing the method.

I'm not an author of this book, and this book is pretty old: it was published in 1979, I guess. Shortly, the procedure of calculation of Four Pillars based on your time and place of birth is described in this book, and, on the basis of calculated pillars, you can calculate two hexagrams - Pre-Heaven Hexagram and Later Heaven Hexagram, which describe forces influencing your life.

This system is remarkable, that it connects Four Pillars with I Ching. Using this book you can calculate your natal hexagrams, and then read their description from, for example, I Ching translation by Richard Wilhelm. If you are interested in both 4 Pillars and I Ching - this is good choice for you.

Hi Oleg,

Thanks for sharing this with all members.  I am sure they will appreciate it.  This method is not new to me though.  I have also used I-Ching method to read Ba ZI before and do agree it can be accurate.  However, I am not practising this method extensively because I have given priority to other methods.  Hence, in terms of the level of efficacy of using this method we can learn from you instead.

Why don't you start off with using this method to decipher a well known person's chart like say Steve Jobs?

The interesting moment here is that the hexagram 1 (Ch'ien. The Creative (Innovatory) Action) occurs more frequently than others and this "fits" Bill Gates' biography.
