I am born on 8th of May 1985 at 7:00am
I have come to believe after taking many calculators that my pillars look like this: -

Year - Wood Ox
Month - Metal Snake
Day - Fire Goat
Hour - Wood Dragon (taking into account daylight savings time)
Life and Conception - Monkey (Huh?)

I have looked into this extensivley and so far I know that I have an abundance of Earth and Fire, reasonable Metal and Wood and a lack of Water.  This makes a lot of sense for me in relation to my strengths and wekanesses and what it takes to balance me out and promote self-harmony.

I think I have eating god and hurting officer.  Can someone please explain this to me?

I also know that I nearly have the literary cross because I have Ox, Dragon and Goat but unluckily I lack the Dog.
I also know my day master in neither strong nor weak according to rules set by Joey Yap.

How does all this sound so far.  I love chinese astrology and BaZi but I'm trying to add all the pieces together for this complicated jigsaw puzzle.

Actually I think it is meant to be strong.  Even though here in UK May is spring according to the chinese text, may is a snake month therefore making it a fire season akak summer. So my yin fire is prosperous and I don't have many wood and fire element to weaken me much.

However, I am seriously debating whether I am a rabbit hour or a dragon hour.  If BST pushes my hour back I turn into the rabbit hour but at the same time it could be pushing back something that was already forward because the clocks go forward an hour here in the UK in late October.

Whether it is rabbit or dragon hour one look at the ZWDS chart we will be able to verify against your looks and personal events.

I remember hearing from someone that the four pillars can be explained in a different way.

Even though they represent four different categories of your life I have been told that you can pretty much recognise all foru pillars in a persons way at all time.

This same person told me that while the year is the outer core and the day is the real self, the month is how people see you but the hour is what we strove to be (which would make sense since the hour represents old age and kids).

So if this is the case I ask myself, would I be striving to be more like the Gui Mao or more like the Geng Chen?  From reading their descriptions I now believe my hour pillar is most probably the Gui Mao.
