It will tell you your sun sign, moon sign, ascendant and your 12 planets (yeah pluto is included).

en for example; if you want to have your love life analyze, then the astrologer should look at your sun, moon and the most important love planet Venus.

Yes, the rising sign is important. Sun sign is more general characteristics, more internal stuff I think, and rising sign gives more details how you appear to others, physically and also regarding health.

Regarding love life, I think it is more accurate that for a man you should look where venus is, and for a woman look for mars, venus for a women tells how the woman you will be attracted by is, and mars for a woman is what kind a man to look for. then Sun, moon and aspects gives more detail.
