Traditional Chinese health beliefs adopt a holistic view emphasizing the importance of environmental factors in increasing risk of disease. These factors influence the balance of body's harmony, yin and yang. The Chinese believe that there are two opposite but complementary forces and, together with qi (vital energy), they control the universe and explain the relationship between people and their surroundings. Imbalance in these two forces, or in the qi, results in illness.

Anyone would like to discuss further? Grin

HI Oley,

TCM has 4 systematic steps towards diagnosing a patient illness. They are as follows:-

1) wang ? (observe)
2) wen ? (listen)
3) wen ? (ask)
4) qie ? (pulse)

These steps looked mundane.  But they are effectively used by chinese physician to unearth a world of health information on their patient.

I came across an a case which really amazed me few years back. Me and some of my friends we're going through deep jungle and finally went through the jungle to go fishing in a big lake. this girl was in bad luck i guess, got stung by a bee and within days her knee was quite swollen to nearly the size of a fist! doctors proves little help as they gave injection, cream, and anti-biotics that dont realli help to ease the swell  zzz Shocked 2-3 days after, came CNY and her god-father visited her family, saw her leg n she starts to relate what happened. without any thoughts, her god-father spit saliva on his hand, speak some chanting and start rubbing his saliva on her knee.
Miracle happened by EOD, her knee start to ease and the next morning, her knee is completely cured and theres not a single bump or scar on her knee. She told me rumors told that her god-father was adopted by a shaman master during WW3 and then he start 2 practice black magic i guess from there on. Too bad the old man passed away.

Not really related I guess to this topic, but amazingly it cures!

Hi creamreaper

I believe your story. I came across a Siamese that can stop bleeding. There was a kid that felt down and his knee was bleeding non-stop. The Siamese passed by and he asked for a piece of paper. He chanted on the piece of paper and then stick on the kid's knee. His knee stop bleeding immediately.

I heard my mum said that our Chinese Tong Shu got teach us on simple chanting. Is it true?
